In honor of Military Appreciation Month, Memorial Day and the US Military personnel who have served in the US Armed Forces, Gilly’s Legendary Lager in partnership with the LA Giltinis extends our sincere appreciation and gratitude.
By definition, a Legend is a person or thing that inspires stories from the past. With Gilly's motto being “Live a Legendary Life,” there couldn’t be anyone more deserving that embodies our message than the Military personnel that have served this country. Without the brave, we cannot be the land of the free.
Together, we raise a Gilly’s in honor of these True Legends.
The Giltinis, in partnership with Gilly's have chosen to support Ruck For Veterans, a 501(c)3 Non-profit Organization (TAX ID: 87-3094599) whose aim is to bring awareness to Veteran Mental health issues.
“Our journey began with the focus on children of fallen service members," said Ruck for Veterans Founder Matt Pech.
"We raised money to provide them with a brighter future. Year two we focused on veteran suicides because the average daily suicide rate continues to climb. In the third year, we focused on Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.
"There is a new generation of veterans that need our support. Years four and five we target The Special Forces Foundation and Green Beret Foundation. Now being our sixth year we are finally an official 501c3 and are now accepting donations that go directly toward veteran causes.”
LA Giltinis General Manager, Adam Freier said this was something very close to the players hearts.
"The LA Giltinis extends our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our men and women who serve," said Freier
"We have seen Ruck for Veterans and Giltinis Super Fan Will Jones in the stands for many of our matches, and we respect everything he has done for the United States and his service to this country and we incredible proud to be partner with him, Matt and Ruck for Veterans,
"Gilly's are always thinking about incredible stories, and showing their respects to those who live a 'legendary' life, so we are thrilled to partner with them on this initiative to raise some awareness and resources to the program."
The Giltinis face the Utah Warriors at 1.30pm (PST) on Saturday at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. The match will be broadcast live on Bally Sports SoCal and Bally Sports West in Los Angeles. The match can also be viewed live on The Rugby Network internationally.
