Marco Fepulea’i

Prop

Experienced New Zealander Marco Fepulea’i was a prize pick up in 2021’s dispersal draft of players from the grounded Dallas Jackals.

The prop has top-level credentials to go with his size. He shared in Auckland’s 2018 Mitre 10 Cup success in NZ’s peak domestic competition and did pre-season training with the Blues’ Super Rugby squad.

Playing with the Glendale (Colorado) Raptors in 2019 and 2020 has also prepared him for rugby American-style in MLR.

Improving under Giltinis scrum coach Alex Corbisiero, the former British and Irish Lions prop, has been an extra incentive for the tighthead prop.

Fepulea’i has rugby pedigree in his family with uncles Pat Lam and the late Dylan Mika both having represented the All Blacks.

Fepulea’i was one of the starting props in the Championship final in 2021 and his scrum strengths and general play will be valued again in 2022.
